It's easy to forget quite how quickly cucumbers move. I've just had to gently unhook one of its tendrils from the open window...
I *did* say it was trying to make a break for it. 
Oh ffs. I took that tendril and carefully wrapped it around one of the supports... and two hours later, I've just had to go over and move it from trying to get out the window again.
