I see what they are trying to accomplish, but the UI sucks (to put it in understandable terms).
@SergKoren would love to hear what particularly stood out as bad in the UI here
@heysupratim Everything. It’s hidden in the app. It’s local to the pane(s). It’s unintuitive. It’s wastes space. It needs a separate explanation “widget”. It probably uses some form of AI to decide what is what.
I just want filters that work.
@SergKoren Is turning off an option for these AI based filtering?
@heysupratim I just want regex (or simpler) based filters that work. I don’t want AI involved. But that’s beside the UI/UX pain.
@SergKoren does everyone using Apple Mail want that ?
@heysupratim IT’s not about “want”. It’s what works. AI is flawed. And the UX sucks. You may like it/work for Apple, but that doesn’t make it any better.
And I’m an Apple fan-boy.
Have a good day. I’m not going to debate further.
@SergKoren Could you let me setup folders/categories myself, and set filtering rules myself? Because usually if someone else (especially some automated process where it's not even a human) is doing it... 6 months later, there's the message I missed...
Honestly I don't filter, though I used to.
