@acdw 1. You must write. 2. You must finish what you write. 3. You must place it on the market. 4. You must leave it on the market until it sells.
Beyond that, what is your market? Who are you writing for, as client or subject or ideology, and as your audience? What's your specific niche? What skills or experience do you have that nobody else does, that you can leverage?

@acdw for example, can you write a tabletop role-playing adventure? I'm in need of people who can deliver completed manuscripts, too many have tried and failed.
