I'm looking for creators of https://petapixel.com/2015/01/22/disabled-photographer-petitioning-canon-make-dslr-left-handed-people/ … petition / photographers missing their right hand. I'm working on a #diy #openhardware left-hand grip for DSLR cameras with multiple buttons. #accessibility #disability #careables
@alxd what an awesome project! I have some southpaws in my family and I know the frustrations they have with all the worlds tools being made with right-handers in mind. You rock!
> the author is anonymous on change. I could try emailing the site and asking.
Obviously they're not going to give you their info, but they may be willing to pass on your contact info to them. Ironic that you were able to find a home address but no internet contact info. You would find exactly the opposite if you researched me (I hope so anyway ;)
> Hmm. Now I'm confused. Is this a real project or a fictional one?
It's both! :D
@strypey I would really love to present it physically at the same time as Suzanne works on it in the graphic novel ;)
@bob they were created (totally not in a response to this petition) as an Aprils Fools joke.
This is a prime example of how able-bodied people fetishize prosthetics and forget about real needs of the disabled.
