v0.12 is just about ready! This upcoming version includes mentions, OAuth support, and plenty of small improvements.

For anyone interested in helping us test out this new version, we've just put out a release candidate for you to try today, and would love your feedback!

@matt i miss the opportunity to leave comment on Write.as blogs. I often find interesting posts via @readwriteas and it would be great if users could reach out to each other that way

@andreas We'll definitely address comments in the future -- I just want to do it right, and not simply copy the same old comments as anywhere else.

For now, there's a new funky workaround with this "mention" functionality. You can basically mention your Mastodon account, for example, to send replies over there and keep the conversation going. For example, see near the end of my last post: write.as/matt/our-activitypub-

@matt sounds good. I think you're doing the right thing. What you don't want is comments where you have to login in again.
I'll try that Mastodon mention function.

@matt and I must say I really like Write.as. the very steady autosave not the least

@andreas That's awesome to hear! Really glad you're enjoying it 😊
