This third entry into the franchise works hard to please the fanbase with loads of references, lore and enough CG cuteness to conquer Japan. Luckily, they won't care that the narrative is riddled with plot holes and the human cast are as irritating as ever. Even Carrey's Robotnik is starting to annoy these days.
