Corporations are cancers. They are amoral entities that optimize for growth, and have no regard whatsoever for anything else.

This, plus the fact that the UX is way better using Jellyfin and file sharing sites, is yet another reason to never pay these scumbags a cent.

NaNoWriMo

Day 16. Words are flowing slower than usual which I see as a good thing. I think I've been averaging 850 words per day but that's okay because I just want to write.

Example of me "researching": I have no idea what published research looked like in the field of philisophy and I stumbled onto a free online journal with interesting papers like "Explaining Fictional Characters"

NaNoWriMo

Got back on the horse and wrote a bit yesterday. I got sidetracked with research for a bit but that's always one of the fun parts.

Maintaining two accounts with the same profile picture is too much of a hassle.

I didn't write yesterday. I was in such a daze. I could barely think, my mind was so cloudy.

If anyone thinks that Microsoft's tactics have changed over the past few years, especially the ones where they're all "Microsoft ❤️ 's Open Source", you need to refresh your MS history. It's what they do. It's in their nature to weasel their way into a market and then take over, by hook or crook.

Make no mistake. Microsoft is coming for Linux. It's taken them longer than they'd like, but the tick is already under the skin with GitHub and NPM.

Like 10k words in I realized that I've written myself into a corner and don't know how to dig myself out so I can go back to the heart of what I wanted the story to be. Thankfully I am someone who is never too attached to a first draft. Starting over. :)

NaNoWriMo

Day 5 - Yesterday I only wrote 314 words. I had a busy day yesterday and I was very close to not writing but then I remembered I took part in NaNoWriMo so that I could write everyday. Don't want to end the streak!

NaNoWriMo

Day 4 - Yesterday I wrote a whopping 1,809 words. That's an accomplishment for me. I was definitely getting into the groove of things.

NaNoWriMo, uspol, election

Day 3
I think listening to election coverage in the background might have influenced what I wrote about today. 1,645 words. Was hoping to write 1,700 today but I've wrung myself dry.

Day 2
Wrote 1,583 words today. Very close to my favourite number. Admittedly, I've been just writing random scenes here and there. It might be a weird approach but I'm sticking to it.

Day 1
I've written 1,623 words so far. It wasn't as difficult to start as I thought it would be. Then again, it's still just the first day. Gotta keep the motivation and excitement going for the rest of the month.
