I can do my calculus and you can do yours but the die's already cast. All the numbers line-up like a line of chorus girls in Vegas. Deep down, every person on the planet knows what’s coming, every creature & every tree, even if it isn't conscious.

will do the heavy lifting in the future, not romantic fantasies or memes. By Nature, I don't mean Bambi. By Nature, I mean Mach 10 earthquakes, 200 MPH super-storms and pandemics that will humble us, even as they pace our entry into the underworld. By Nature, I mean thermonuclear war.

& I came up w/ the term "gnostic daemon" independently. A few hours after I dreamed it up, I searched for it on google and, voila, I found his inspired rant, which I share below. Terence and I are both pointing in the same direction, light years beyond Plato's Cave.

Bare Essentials:

We are shell-shocked, we are over-compensating and we are quite literally insane. Soon, I think, we will be destroyed. Not knowing what the future holds while simultaneously being open to it suits me just fine, however. Going forward, I'll need friends, a sense of calling/vocation, nature, clean air/water, dogs and the stars. There's love and gender too. I would not leave those out, not even at my ripe old age. The rest, I've come to think, is incidental.

People are noticing. The elephant in the room is going exponential. The West is much faster than expected, for example. Then there's that business, the and the exponentially-elevated nuclear threats, never mind they're based on lies. Finally, there's Jake Sullivan's eyes, which are growing more discernibly reptilian by the day.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Some people thought the would take longer. I didn't. I was surprised it took as long as it did.

The thing about is that in order to win their respect, you've got to act goofier than them, refusing to let human conventions get in the way no matter what other people might think. If you can pull that off, a show of force is rarely necessary. If you can pull that off, you’ve mastered the zen of woof.

Just five minutes into open mic, I had one of those Vampire Lestat moments, where he realizes he's centuries old and was reborn into a world of rock stars and tweeners.
