I've been making a point of embracing simplicity in order to focus on content. My new personal website (https://jakelacaze.com/) is no exception. Shoutout to Bryan Lunduke (http://lunduke.com) for the inspiration.

Tables should not be used for layout! This has been true since the late 90s! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tableless_web_design
The <center> element is obsolete! https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/center
Replace your <td>s with <section>s and use CSS Flexbox https://flexbox.help/ and https://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/a-guide-to-flexbox/ to attain the three-column layout you desire, so that on narrower screens the 3-column grid can collapse to two-column or one-column as fits the screen!
