Made the best-feeling decision I've made in a while:

NO Amazon for me. NO "drm". NO ridiculous traditional contracts, and NO losing my creative control. I've done the numbers, gone back and forth, and frankly: the only benefit the "big guys" offer is the ability to do more of the shit I don't want to do, and to "reach" readers who aren't my people anyway, all while trying to corrupt my art for maximum cash. Deals with this devil are not worth it, for me anyway
