Oh wow, why am I just now trying Vivaldi?
Even just configuring tabs as a list on the side is revolutionary. Especially for work, each tab is basically a task / to-do item. So I get a nice overview with full page titles, and closing one tab out of 35 is nice and rewarding.
@matt
nearly all parts of its base functionality can be replicated with plugins, userscripts, and literal websites
@matt just chromium in another outfit.
@matt@writing.exchange Once you go Vivaldi, you'll never go back
@matt Vivaldi is just another Chromium at this point, isn't it?
There are tons of side tabs plugins for Firefox. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/sidebery/ and https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tree-style-tab/ are two.
@ontploffing It's just pretty nice having it all built into a cohesive product, where I don't have to spend a weekend finding all the extensions I need, maintaining them, etc.
