One time I really wish Mastodon had quote-tooting is when I'm sharing ActivityPub Articles (i.e. blog posts).
Would be awesome to natively boost a post with a little personal comment added, especially to aid in a fediverse conversation around the post. Otherwise you get what we have right now: every post is "Shared without comment."
A recent idea I had: what if WF federated Notes instead of Articles in certain situations? I just tweaked this instance so that if there's no newline in a post, it'll come out as a Note. Otherwise it'll be an Article, like normal. Thoughts? Reply to @firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our CoC is live, and we have a roadmap, kinda!
Stay tuned for more news about #Florence
@dansup Hey, are you active at all on the Pixelfed section of SocialHub (https://socialhub.activitypub.rocks/c/software/pixelfed)? I wanted to continue the conversation about Article support in PixelFed in a public place like that, if that's alright.

Hey, just a newb amateur here. I've written quite a few poems over the past year. Also the past few months on Reddit I kept making r/WritingPrompts and wanting to make the prompts increasingly complex, so I'm gonna try making some short stories and putting them on the Fediverse's favorite write.as platform.
From what I've seen so far this instance seems very calm and peaceful. I look forward to discussions and inadvertently learning crazy news here.
TL;DR: we're going to start doing Release Candidates for all major updates going forward.
If you're interested in testing those out, please let us know! We'd really appreciate the help!
Mastodon feature request
If I "Show More" on a CW'ed post in my timeline, clicking the post to see replies should automatically "Show More" on all of them.
Right now I have to click twice: "Show less for all" (which only shows less on the parent post), and then "Show more for all" (which finally does what I want). The added friction makes me not want to read any CW'ed conversation.
