@hjertnes You just _had_ to rub that in, didn’t you? 😂

I even asked my ISP about this and they told me their infrastructure can’t handle more than that without a fibre connection, yet it’s uncapped for business accounts? I’m confused.

The words found in your heart and soul, are the strength to draw upon when life challenges you. If you need to right yourself, you need to write your self.

Hospitals on the brink of collapse in Alberta.

This is just painful and terrifying to read. No doctor should ever be forced to decide who lives and who dies. cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/em

“Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”

From @Gabz over on Micro.blog who wrote a great post about why and how he blogs:

I have gone through many stages. At first, I wanted to be — unknown to myself at the time — a brand. I wanted to write and blog like the blogs I was reading at the time, most of them — if not all o... pimoore.ca/2021/09/11/from-gab

@wion I fear you’re right about this as well, and I don’t even know it will take decades to happen. We’re in the midst of a federal election here in Canada, and Justin Trudeau has had gravel thrown at him by protestors. And with the climate especially, self-preservation is going to kick in and we’re going to see mass migrations of people leaving because the heat in some areas is un-survivable.

Never should it get to that point of desperation.

@wion Unfortunately they won’t, as they’re blinded by greed, power, and capitalism to even care at this point. I’d hope I’m wrong about this, but sadly I sincerely doubt it. I agree that lobbying needs to stop, as this is the primary way the wealthy continue gaming the system for their own benefit, at the cost of everyone else’s.
