Today wasn't a writing day.

I had a creative palate cleansing day. This means that I do something creative that is so mindless that it helps me with my writing.

For me, that thing is Decopatch, aka gluing paper snippets to a surface, in this case, a tray.

It's so calming and simple. I just tear pretty papers apart, and glue them randomly.

It never fails to dislodge something from my brain that's writing-related.

What is your creative palate cleanser?

My husband found this brilliant journal for me at the thrift store. It’s so nice, has in-depth prompts that make me stare for a while before I write.
