I am using the following programs to realise the thesis:
- Zotero: for bibliography/ research content management
- Obsidian: notes and overview
- TexStudio: Icing on the cake.

I visited the nearest music store today called ´Idiot Records´ in Dortmund, DE. Met this person there and asked if he knows of any local Black Metal act. He suggested a band ´Fyrnask´ from Bonn. Coincidentally, their music was playing in the background. I had to buy their album ´VII – Kenoma´. If I am not wrong, the lyrics are written in Norwegian and revolves around the theme of Nature, Sorrow and Ritualism

I started to take notes in Obsidian a few months ago in addition to a paper note book. Tried the time-lapse animation today and this was the result.
Yesterday I took a walk into the woods nearby. I was almost in the middle of it, surrounded by tall and healthy trees. My eyes were pleased but the noise of the land and air traffic bled into the heart of this place. The spring chorus of all beings living in there were layered on a constant white noise of anthropophony, leaving only the tap of a woodpecker prevail.
Maybe, all beings need that one inch of silence.
Maybe this is one of the many things we need to heal. An open wound.

My name is Varun. I am multidisciplinary artist working mostly with sound and video. I explore different philosophies of life in search of meaning and inspiration. I find it absurd to talk about the self because I feel its on a constant flux and varying exposure which might lead to re-phrasing. Though, what I could say is that I am living for human connections and experiences that come along with it.
