#Alternatives is a seriously underused hashtag in Mastodon, all things considered.
When you talk about using this 'better' thing versus that bad one (e.g. #PeerTube instead of YouTube; #Liberapay instead of Paetreon; etc) slap an #alternatives hash on it too, it's an easier way to get a wide look at more things, not one thing in particular that someone may not think to search for.
