We're working to build a suite of tiny, focused tools that all work together, and share the same simplicity and privacy-awareness of Write.as. This little #blogging platform is just the start.
Now you can #follow along with each of them right here in the fediverse:
@write_as jot.as sounds interesting. Can you share any details about it, or will those come when we're closer to the public unveiling of the app?
@scottnesbitt Sure, the general plan is to launch mobile and desktop apps with the same simple editor as Write.as, but with features meant for private notes, like search, tag-based organization, and cross-device syncing. For syncing, everything would be encrypted on the client-side so notes are kept totally private.
We'll flesh out the exact details more as we get closer to developing and launching the app, but that's the idea right now.
@write_as Thanks for the info. I'll be keeping an eye out for the launch announcement
@scottnesbitt sounds great! Would love to get your early feedback when it launches.
@write_as Is there a way to cross-post from here on Mastodon to a blog over at WriteAs? I'd love to find a way to auto-curate some of the things I do here ...
@dogtrax I like that idea! There's nothing built at the moment, but it's definitely possible between the Atom feeds on Mastodon and our API: https://developers.write.as/docs/api/#publish-a-post
You might be able to use something like Zapier or IFTTT to connect to two today without code. Otherwise I'll ask around and see if anyone is interested on hacking together a tool for that
@write_as Thanks for at least thinking about it .. appreciate the response
@whatcraic we like you too 😊
