There's also @qwazix talking about our latest experiment, Pherephone -- and what it was like to implement ActivityPub for the first time.

"Federated Blogging with WriteFreely"

Would love to see a "disable replies" feature on -- and a way for other platforms to have their choices around replies reflected in the Mastodon UI.

support on Write.as was just the first part of what I wanted to create for the :fediverse: Next, I wanted a place to read everything in peace.

Here's just the start of that second part: Read.as, built from scratch to be and .

Soon you'll be able to create an account on the Read.as instance, and follow platforms like and that federate long-form articles — for now it just needs to be run locally.

github.com/writeas/Read.as

support is now available to everyone! 🎉 🎊 :fediverse:

Write.as blogs don't federate by default, so to enable it you can either sign up with our new page: write.as/new/blog/federated, or if you're already on Write.as, go to your blog's Customize page and click "Enable federation"

Note this also includes support for custom domains. So if your domain is hosted with us, you can now choose your handle when you enable federation and your blog will be accessible in the fediverse!

support is live! You can now follow *Public* Write.as blogs from Mastodon, such as our @blog

It's limited to Public blogs right now (a paid feature) so we can slowly roll this out and plug holes as needed -- once I'm confident things are stable in the next few days, it'll be available to everyone for free.

You can read a bit more about the update, and I'd love to hear any feedback / ideas / bugs here! discuss.write.as/t/activitypub
