Looks like the linux kernel people finally found something to replace their hardcore love of Google+ after it died, people.kernel.org/. its using @write_as as its backend which is awesomely open and federated with activity pub.

Coming in v0.10: more control over your home page! As the admin of a multi-user instance, you'll be able to:

* Change the content of the home page (as seen here: pencil.writefree.ly)

* Change the default page that non-users land on (e.g. instead of the home page, it could be your About page, or a specific blog)

Today a user encountered our automated spam filter on Write.as and alleged that we were providing shelter to hate groups. That couldn't be farther from the truth -- enough said.

Still, we've written more about this and how our spam filters work over on the forum: discuss.write.as/t/how-spam-fi

I'm migrating from Medium to @write_as : you can find it here!
write.as/nicolas-constant/

You can also follow it directly via it's ActivityPub profile: @nicolas-constant

I will blog about #Sengi on it, but also write down other thoughts and ideas I might put some efforts on. :)

Some kernel developers now have their blogs hosted on people.kernel.org, which is a WriteFreely instance with ActivityPub syndication. For example, try out @gregkh.

Both and are only a couple stars away from 1,000 on GitHub! Why not send them over the threshold? ⭐

@write_as @writefreelyhost

Hey do y'all happen to know of anyone running #WriteFreely on a #Guix system? I'd like to, but without having to figure it out myself, if possible. #WriteAs

As you might've noticed, work on the @write_as CLI is moving forward again 🙂

v2.0 will support publishing to your Write.as account, then soon after that we'll support any #WriteFreely instance.

When Medium dropped our access to their API without warning a few months ago, we decided to permanently end our integration with them.

Today we're happy to launch a new integration with an open publishing platform that can't do the same, Ghost.

Read more on their blog: blog.ghost.org/admin-api/

(Thanks to @johnonolan and the Ghost team for reaching out and helping with the implementation!)
