@3dprinting 48 hours in, 82% done. It definitely looks like two hearts.

The printer has required six interventions so far. The one at about Z = 55mm had the clay red filament wrapped around the spool, so there's some missing plastic at that height.

Estimated print time is now up to 52 hours. I wasn't always there when the printer needed help.

Dry vs "wet" dessicant beads. The top orange is after a run through the microwave. The bottom is what I took out of the 3d filament bag that was holding at 28 percent. In the few minutes since I changed the beads, the bag is already down to 25 percent.

All right, for all you #blind #3dprinting folks, I've got something neat. This guy on Reddit made some foldable chess sets. Standard and blind accessible versions certified by the International Braille Chess Association ready to print with all pieces included. Pretty neat stuff. It works the same way as one of those wooden chess sets does, with elevated pieces for white and concave for black with peg holes so that the pieces don't move while you're touching them. Here're all of the files. I've got four links because this guy posted them on different sites. I'm including them all so you can choose where you wanna download. makerworld.com/en/models/12594

Delighted that the COTS couplings and the little posts that allow them to rotate all work. We have working couplings that go around corners without derailing!

Ordered a 0.2mm nozzle to print the final model more finely and maybe bring out some more detail.

It's starting to feel like the final stretch of a long trek!
