Since it's St Patrick's Day, and with 2e now up for Preorder, I thought it would be a good day to publish our review of this Celtic themed card drafting game from Grand Gamers Guild
This is a great mathy puzzle game with a fun whimsical theme.

We gave @nicholas “#MontyPython Fluxx”. It’s basically regular Fluxx but with Python themes. It’s funny.
Thanks to the “I want to sing,” card we are also singing some Monty python song each turn.

This is an implementation of the "Center" board game, in which you have to try to play on the centre square by advancing inwards from the perimeter, using your existing stones to support your next. The good bot is very good, it consistently beats me even with very low time limits.
I implemented this using the "vibe coding" technique where I just asked AI to do all the coding and editing. None of the code was typed by me, it was all done by asking Claude 3.7 Thinking to make changes. There's some usability rough edges but I'm very impressed by how well it implemented this idea.
Won a 2-handed #solo #game of Horizons of #SpiritIsland last night.
I dont think I would have pulled it off if it weren't for Eyes Watch From Trees. That spirit is great at running through the fear deck. My other spirit was Devouring Teeth Lurk Underfoot which was really strong when there were enemies at its site, but it wasn't very mobile.
It’s #boardgame weekend with @ejones and @steggy. Today’s first game is #Wyrmspan, which is a #dragon themed #wingspan. Same game makers and many of the same mechanics.

We are making a city defender board game, where heroes try and follow the kaiju to defeat it, while protecting the city ... or at least they are trying.

Test-driving a #BoardGame at the #TTRPG convention. This should be a required figure for any game played in #Toronto.
R's boyfriend came over last night, necessitating a quick trip to the grocery store to buy more burgers. But I didn't engage with him when he asked about the #boardgame I had set up at the dining room table (Vagrantsong). He also asked about my ROG Ally. He's a gamer, so he was interested in the Windows handheld. But I wasn't feeling very interactive, so I didn't elaborate, which made me feel bad. Hopefully, I can make it up to him soon.

Another recurring idea for a #musicGame is to separate playing music and doing in-game moves. You basically join the music when it's not your turn.
The game may have any turn-based mechanics, but its #tabletop representation should yield itself well to musical interpretation.
This is a design area with hopes for great complexity, some #eurogame-adjacent potential. But arguably, musical #improvisation may cover any #boardgame...
