The conference in Glasgow is a month away! I can't wait to hang out with my and learn more for my business.

You know what else I'm excited about? My panel! I'll be talking about communicating across and how to make sure the editing and client relationship goes as smoothly as possible.

I'll also be joined on the by the amazing Katherine Kirk and Amanda Jayne Harman, moderated by Anna Knight.

Will we see you there?

I’m starting #CIEP’s training course introduction to copy-editing this afternoon. I’m probably the only person to take this course after passing the intermediate course but, holy crap, that course was hard. I’m self-taught and apparently the way I approach everything is wrong.

Wish me luck!

Business Tip: Create a style guide for your brand. This idea was shared at a CIEP Cloud Club West meeting a few months back and I finally did it today! It never hurts to write down all the things that make your brand consistent and recognizable (colours, fonts/sizes, voice/tone, etc.) and where you have a presence — especially online. Now, to make sure I use said guide…

A new #introduction.

Just got an email today about this year’s #CIEP (#editing and #proofreading) conference

Although I won’t be there in person, I’m persuaded to book an online place now that I know fab #ActuallyAutistic author Katherine May will be giving a keynote

(And Richard Coles is giving an after-dinner talk in the sensory-nightmare part of the irl conference)

Also quite excited by the conference tagline: ‘Editing in a diverse world’

In fact, now I remember that I might be on a panel on #neurodiversity 🙀
