Am sogenannten "Tag der Ehre" marschieren regelmäßig tausende Neonazis durch die Stadt um SS- und Wehrmachtssoldaten zu gedenken.

Während gegen alle deutschen Antifaschist:innen in Deutschland Ermittlungs- und Strafverfahren laufen und die aktuell inhaftierten Personen, nicht nach Ungarn ausgeliefert werden sollen, will die deutsche Justiz dies bei Zaid nicht so handhaben, obwohl er fest in Deutschland verwurzelt ist. Seine Anwältin spricht davon, dass hier mit zweierlei Maß gemessen werde.

Trotzdem er sich freiwillig der Justiz stellte, lehnte nunmehr das Kammergericht #Berlin es ab, den EU-Haftbefehl ausser Vollzug zu setzen."

"Simplification should not be a guise for deregulation.

By mistaking transparency and openness for an obstacle, not a driver, of innovation, it would shoot itself in the foot. The new transparency rules for AI and data under the EU’s AI Act may become one of the first casualties of this new impetus to roll back some of the recently adopted requirements for the providers of so-called general-purpose AI (GPAI) models.

Under the EU’s AI Act, developers of GPAI models — that is, very large AI models such as OpenAI’s GPT or Google’s Gemini models — will soon have to present a “sufficiently detailed” public summary of the data they used to train the models.

This summary could be a light-touch way to drastically advance transparency around the use of one of AI’s most precious inputs, data at little additional cost to developers.

But if the EU’s AI Office gives in to industry pressure to water down the level of detail, this summary will turn into a performative checkbox exercise that ultimately offers little value to anyone. This would be misguided and short-sighted."

"Until now, Meta's AI technology has not been trained with the Facebook and Instagram data of European users. This is now set to change: From the end of May 2025, Meta wants to use the data of all adult European Facebook and Instagram users for training of its own AI applications. The data will then be used to train the company's AI-based services such as the Meta-AI chatbot on WhatsApp or language models such as Llama.

Start of training planned for 2024 postponed for the time being
Meta had already announced last year that it would use all public posts and photos from its European Facebook and Instagram users for AI training. However, Meta then postponed the project after the Irish Data Protection Authority (IDPC), which is the lead supervisory authority for Meta in the EU, approached the company with data protection issues, particularly regarding the legal basis and transparency. The procedure that is now in place makes it easier to object to Meta's use of personal data for AI training."

On April 16, on the Zaporizhzhia front, Russians launched an assault that involved at least 320 soldiers, 40 units of armored vehicles, three tanks, and ten buggies.

As a result of the battle, which lasted more than two and a half hours, Russians suffered huge losses: 29 units of military equipment, 140 soldiers, and three tanks. Ukrainian Defenders did not lose a single position.
