It is no longer an open secret: #America 🇺🇸 is officially in a constitutional crisis.

#DonaldTrump is openly defying judges & is not even pretending to bend extreme laws for use in peaceful times.

👉🏾 US deports more alleged gang members to #ElSalvador 🇸🇻 bbc.com/news/articles/c33zve32

#Trump is acting like a king 🤴🏼 now. Normally in situations like this Congress would intervene. However, most #Republicans & #Democrats are too terrified of Trump to counter any of these moves.

If you don't know what to do for the #resistance , or are terrified of being on a front line bc you could get #yeeted to #elsalvador or an #amerikkkan prison, then make donations to #ACLU #lambdalegal #TransgenderLawCenter a non-profit #immigration rights law center, donate to someone's #go_fund_me to help them with legal fees, and/or #volunteer for an #advocacy center. These forms of resistance and #protest are every bit as important as #holdingtheline

#CosPlayNoem visited the #ElSalvador prison where #NaziDon #deported those UN-adjudicated #immigrants, and performed a photo-op in front of the jail.

NONE of the "gang members" standing behind her were the people #DonTheCon deported.

And posing in front of prisoners for #Propaganda is a VIOLATION OF THE #GenevaConvention (and a #WarCrime if you take #DonnieDumbass' word that we are "at war", entitling him to use the 1798 Alien Sedition Act.) #CreepingFascism

I spent the morning begging the leadership of other countries to do the right thing, to help the #Venezuelans Trump sent to #ElSalvador because I cannot trust my #government to do what is right and just.

I doubt the words of a small man from a broken land will do much to convince the leadership of other nations, but there is always #hope in the asking.

I have written to: #Mexico,# Canada, #Germany, #England, & #France... Not sure who else I will write to

Yep, this is a dictatorship... I sincerely hope there will be more democratic elections in the USA...

"The tattoo on Suárez’s neck is of a colibrí, a hummingbird. His wife said it is meant to symbolize “harmony and good energy.” She said his other tattoos, like a palm tree on his hand—an homage to Suárez’s late mother’s use of a Venezuelan expression about God being greater than a coconut tree—were similarly innocuous. Nevertheless, they may be why Suárez has been effectively disappeared by the US government into a Salvadoran mega-prison.

Mother Jones has spoken with friends, family members, and lawyers of ten men sent to El Salvador by the Trump administration based on allegations that they are members of the Venezuelan organized crime group Tren de Aragua. All of them say their relatives have tattoos and believe that is why their loved ones were targeted. But they vigorously reject the idea that their sons, brothers, and husbands have anything to do with Tren de Aragua, which the Trump administration recently labeled a foreign terrorist organization. The families have substantiated those assertions to Mother Jones, including—in many cases—by providing official documents attesting to their relatives’ lack of criminal histories in Venezuela. Such evidence might have persuaded US judges that the men were not part of any criminal organization had the Trump administration not deliberately deprived them of due process.

On March 14, President Donald Trump quietly signed a proclamation invoking the Alien Enemies Act—a 1798 law last used during World War II. The order declared that the United States is under invasion by Tren de Aragua. It is the first time in US history that the 18th-century statute, which gives the president extraordinary powers to detain and deport noncitizens, has been used absent a Congressional declaration of war."

"Human beings are not props."

“When Homeland Security Secretary Kristi L. #Noem visited #ElSalvador’s notorious Terrorism Confinement Center, she posted a video from one of the notoriously overcrowded mega-prison's cell blocks that struck many as hard to watch. "This is next level disturbing," one Bluesky user wrote. "Human beings are not props."

So Kristi Noem violated the Geneva Conventions, what a surprise;

“The humanitarian laws included in the Geneva Convention mandate that “prisoners of war must at all times be humanely treated and protected against acts of violence, intimidation, insults, and public curiosity,” wrote Secretary of the Navy John H. Chafee in 1971 during the height of the Vietnam War.

That means that “[p]risoners may not be publicly exploited for purposes of propaganda,” wrote Jonathan V. Last in a scathing column at The Bulwark that pointed out the grotesque nature of Noem’s photo op, with the prisoners dressed alike, “crammed into a cell,” unmoving, silent, and not making any facial expressions.”

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process.

All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.
