I was reading an article on some of the latest shenanigans going on in the Free Peoples' Republic of Trumpistan, and I misread a sentence that was talking about the federal government as "feral government", and I'm not sure that was less correct.

GOP Senator Slams Republicans for Being “Afraid” of Elon Musk

Senator Lisa Murkowski has some harsh words for her party.
newrepublic.com/post/192950/li

"Senator Lisa Murkowski called out the #tech oligarch in a #press conference... She criticized the mass firing of #federal employees and freezing of federal #funding...

She told reporters... that she knows her willingness to criticize #Musk will likely come with #consequences."

Trump on Tuesday fired the only two Democratic members of the #Federal #Trade #Commission,
handing the remaining Republican commissioners exclusive control over the body that oversees antitrust and consumer protection laws.

Commissioners Alvaro Bedoya and Rebecca Slaughter announced on the social media site X on Tuesday evening that they were fired,
both asserting that their firings were illegal.

A typical 20-year veteran #NASA astrophysicist and a typical 19-year-old #DOGE MAGAt are both #federal employees. They are equivalent, up to isomorphism. But there are minor differences.

The astrophysicist knows, with near certainty, that the Sun will rise tomorrow. His knowledge of the event is just shy of “certain” because, as unlikely as it maybe, he must mathematically account for the occurrence of a catastrophic event, such as a rogue blackhole swooping into the solar neighbourhood.

The MAGAt knows, with absolute certainty, that the Sun will rise tomorrow, because he knows Musk did not get round to sacking its inefficient arse overnight and, hence, it has no choice but to return to work over Murica and report by email to DOGE what it had been doing over the past 12 hours. And for the Sun’s sake, the signature line of its email better not contain indicia of DEI, like gender pronouns.
