fiber arts friends - I have another friend who's interested in getting back into spinning. she's shopping for fiber, and I want to direct her to cool folks to get fiber from! she's currently using a drop spindle, and looking at kick spindles, so is also interested in second-hand / cheaper ones.
please send me links to pass along!

Next stage completed. Top pattern cut out in old blue sheet with freeform crochet suns laid on top in oranges, reds and yellows. The rest will be filled with lacy freeform shapes shading gradually from almost black to sunset lilacs and peaches to a black silhouette landscape at the bottom.
Is it cake? Not quite.
Made with embroidery and polymer clay, Heather Rios's layered slices are deliciously deceptive.

Hello!
This koala with her baby is made using nettle #needlefelting .
I think this #miniature composition could be a cute decoration for a bookshelf.
Have a nice day everyone!

#FullMoonArt for this month is a cross stitch of my favorite tarot card, the Hermit.
Credit goes to the Pixel Tarot deck, by SENGIA, for the design. I added a few touches, like Pamela Coleman-Smith’s signature sigil, to make it look more like the original card.
There was some hail this morning, so I thought I'd take a picture of one of my nearly finished lights in my #moss garden, dusted with hail, to show you. I might add some red stitches to this to support the red lights here, as they are a bit sparse. Those are made after Trichia decipiens (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trichia_decipiens).
“Embroidery takes me to a calm place where only the process matters,” artist Melissa Calderón says.
