I wonder if I need to be better about date-stamping my leftovers in the fridge. I've eaten a couple of things recently that *smelled* fine but seem to have really done a number on me, gut-wise. Dunno.

(Yes, I have a marker by the fridge but I probably need to have some masking tape there too for labelling tupperware)

#FirstWorldProblems #Phones

I know I'm cheap. I live frugally, hardly ever eat out, etc., but ya gotta have a phone these days and here's my beef:

HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS FOR THE PHONE AND SERVICE AND INSURANCE AND THERE'S NO FREE CASE????

The phones are slippery, so a case is a must. Then, the cases can be another 25 or more dollars.

I got one for around 20 that seems very strong.

BUT STILL!!! 😑

#firstworldproblems Excitedly ordering cheap 4K films from the eBay outlet of a large online store. Then checking the order the next day to find out I won't see them for at least a week and a half!

On the positive side, they should arrive just after I finish my next shift of work. Then my wife can berate me for ordering more films. 😆 (Despite the fact I asked her first if she wanted one of the films and she says yes!)

Listen, #qualtrics
I love you, you know I do. But in your "look and feel" section for the entire #survey you specify default question/answer/etc. font sizes as 'px'.

Then when I go to specify formatting of a specific question it's in 'pt'.

I would like to make my text larger or perhaps smaller than the default size. How the fuck do I do that? You might as well define one as 26 blorbs and the other as 6, 10, 12, 14, 18, or 24 Zonkies.

Yes, I know I can change some things with custom CSS, which is what I'll have to do. What I wish is that the #design experience was consistent here.

I suppose the overall user-friendliness and intuitiveness of Qualtrics makes little issues like this stand out.

Call me a grumpy middle-aged white man with #firstworldproblems all you want – I'm not likely to disagree.

But if I order a pizza, at 6pm, to be delivered at 7:15pm, I feel justified in being annoyed that it's apparently not yet in the oven at 7:25pm, let alone on my way to be delivered.

Our office has laptops for teachers, we can use them for classes or to print things etc. Cool. I saw them and thought "oh cool, Lenovo ThinkPads, they have track points, great".

Now, it's not that I hate the touchpad feature, I just have very little precision with it, I always click the wrong thing, which leads to frustration, cursing and promises of violence. Which is the main reason that I've chosen ThinkPad as my personal laptop since at least 2007.

So imagine my disappointment, when I checked ALL of the office laptops, and. All. Of. Them. Had the track point removed.
