tomhazledine<p>I’m really enjoying all the things I can do with <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/LLMs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LLMs</span></a>, and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/GTP4" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GTP4</span></a> is fantastically powerful.</p><p>But…</p><p>I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the text it generates. Feels to me like it was trained exclusively on marketing copy! No matter how "clever" I am with the prompts, I cannot reliably prevent it from leaning hard into hyperbole and SEO-friendly word vomit.</p><p>Anyone else tackled this? Any clever <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/promptEngineering" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>promptEngineering</span></a> I can use to make it less obnoxious? 🤷</p>

Ollie Francis<p>Tools like <a href="https://writing.exchange/tags/GTP4" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>GTP4</span></a> are awful as plugins for <a href="https://writing.exchange/tags/PKM" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PKM</span></a> systems like <a href="https://writing.exchange/tags/Obsidian" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Obsidian</span></a>. Spouting absolute nonsense.</p><p><a href="https://writing.exchange/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>AI</span></a> doesn&#39;t know things; it just makes up grammatically correct misinformation - which is only marginally better than run-of-the-mill human-made misinformation.</p>
