TheZeldaZone👑🏳️‍⚧️🎮🎀Almost done with <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/PhantasyStar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#PhantasyStar</a> 1, Master System/original. WOOF 80s RPGs require a sort of mental dedication I am not exactly fond of. At the same time, the game is impressively solid, not overly hard (shocking on its own, honestly), beautiful considering limitations. If I played it as a little girl (before I was born...) I would have loved it. Still enjoyed it, but would recommend a version with automap. Frater CorvusFolks, I’m looking at the inside of a Game Gear which does not appear to boot anymore. First there were artifacts on the screen, now it’s just a black screen and no sound — and no apparent sign of booting a cartridge.I’m not an electronics person, but I seem to spot some signs of corrosion and my current hope is that maybe cleaning it and a few simple solders may fix the whole thing?What do you think? There is something going wrong...? What exactly does one look for in such a case? I never had this after recapping a Game Gear.
