Come listen to another gentle reading in the succubard's libary~ :eevee_joy:

[The Oblivion Crisis]
youtube.com/watch?v=s3uRKofYNz

Today, we're reading about the Oblivion Crisis, which were the events that took place during The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. This is a perfect book to read after yesterday's On Oblivion for reasons you'll figure out once you listen to it :bugcat_nod:

This book is available in TESV: Skyrim, which makes sense. It was written between Oblivion and Skyrim, with details that would be known to the Hero of Kvatch, but not to a historian trying to put the events together afterwards without access to them :zerotwo_learn:

Oh, and I also adjusted some things and I'm more expressive than ever :shiba_love:

As always, tell me what you liked, what you didn't like, and maybe even what you want me to read next :hug_love:

In SciFi great ship tech, what is the general lore behind why shields start at 100% and lower when confronted with any type of weapon or physical blow? Most shields deflect objects (not electrify/torch them) in SciFi. This infers more of a mag field or gravity. If that were so, a mag field wouldn't weaken when a non-mag force is applied.

It's fiction...I know...but so many ships have been needlessly blown up.

Hey everyone :mew_wave: take a listen to another book reading from within the Elder Scrolls world, this time from Skyrim on the topic of the ever-elusive Nightingales :shiba_love:

Unlike the first two reading videos (which were clips taken from recent live streams), today, I decided to see how recording it from scratch would feel. I went through the text of the book itself to weed out various errors, recorded it in a way that minimised recording errors, and then further added a little treatment to clean up the audio :cat_wow:

I'd love to hear what you like or dislike about the book readings so far as well as any ideas you might have :bugcat_nod:

Hive City Prelude

After their disastrous encounter with Tyranids on [redacted], the 949th Orange Regiment withdrew to Vulkaris to resupply and some much needed shore leave. Lord Commissar Aldric Sarvus and his assistant Zot explored deep in the hive’s under city, following rumors that his favorite recaff additive could be found there.
