US trade war: EU prepares to retaliate with Big Tech in its sights.
France says a response from the EU to Trump's new 20% tariff will "probably" come at the end of the month. A government spokesperson told RTL that services will be targeted, not just goods, including from companies like Google and Apple.
With Meta, Amazon and Apple stock all down, the EU looks primed to twist the knife.

Mulla ei ole ollut henkkoht tiliä Fb:ssa 7(?) vuoteen (en muista enää milloin lähdin). Kirjailijatilinkin lopetin useita vuosia sitten. Ihmiset mainitsee usein ryhmät syyksi jäädä sinne. Oma kokemukseni: mä en enää edes muista, missä ryhmissä olin. Muistan että ne tuntui silloin tärkeiltä. Ei ne olleet.
Panee miettimään, että iso osa niistä syistä, joiden takia ihmiset jää roistosomeihin, on lopulta sellaisia, jotka ei tunnu pidemmän päälle enää tärkeiltä. Niihin on vaan totuttu.

Final stage of #enshittification of Meta products, they added Meta AI to WhatsApp.
I already use #signal, but I think I will now start a campaign to get close friends and family to switch. This can't be tolerated anymore. I hope EU do something about this.

@AAMfP yeah, #Meta is holding market pretty tight when it comes to the chat clients. Looks like every country except US is using #whatsapp as a top chat client and their services are pretty well integrated with this client as well. I like the UI of the app and you have to admit that from user perspective, the experience is really good. At least on #android platform. Don't get me started on how much data they're stealing and security :-)
