boxd.itA ★★★★ review of Mr. Bean's Holiday (2007)Rewatched Atkinson's 'Mr. Bean's Holiday'. (2007, dir. Bendelack) Instead of writing a review, I try to connect Bean and mr Hulot. The inspiration is obvious and on purpose.  Atkinson talked about how he was influenced in some ways by Tati in several interviews. Although he made Bean a lot less sympathetic. But in Mr Bean’s holiday, Bean is more charming and even ‘nice’. So evolving to acting ‘warm’ instead of being a penny pincher character after all… While being a bit careful in the past, I must now conclude for myself the Bean character fits into the Hulot universe. Answering a question with a question is, as I'm sure you're quite aware, bad form -- but, let's go down that rabbit hole. A nuanced answer is fine.

I'll again reference #mrbean saying that the in a police state that the people are afraid of the police and that this is arguably our situation. The police should be afraid of people.

I'll reiterate, as well, that even small tribes have forms of police.

Today we return to the glamorous world of film and television with this, the three-wheeled yellow Reliant Regal Supervan used by Del-Boy and Rodney in the BBC comedy series ‘Only Fools and Horses’. This example at the #BritishMotorMuseum at Gaydon had a doubly distinguished on-screen career, having been used in filming for both ‘Only Fools’ and Mr Bean (in blue - still partially visible in one of the photos).
