Captain Carl is played by the late great Phil Hartman. He and Paul Reubens met while members of The Groundlings and later developed and starred in the club show version of “Pee Wee’s Playhouse” and the film “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure”. Unfortunately, due to being hired by SNL he had to leave the tv show version of “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse” after the first few episodes of the first season. “Restaurant” is the final episode he worked on.

Flight Of The Navigator (1986)

Told kids it was about alien abduction, piqued their interest, now they say it's one of their top five movies ever.

Some of it really holds up, the abduction family drama is delicately written and skillfully acted.

The hospital and NASA's brain imaging technology in the movie is 🤯

The "Middle" class family is also 🤯, world long gone, if ever it existed.

A little comedy, starring #Awkafina and a completely chaotic #SandraOh as a pair of sisters who need to find each other through a journey to a quiz show.
I think it's no coincidence that #WillFerrell plays the host, given his background as #AlexTrebek stand-in on #SNL 's #Jeopardy sketches and #JasonSwartzman 's character is clearly modeled after James Holzhauer, a candidate from the real Jeopardy.

It also features the late #PaulReubens in his last live action role.
