Second run using the 22 tooth pinion gear. Dry conditions and high grip brought the setup to its limits. Full throttle acceleration required higher currents than the 5000 mAh NIMH batteries could deliver, triggering the over current protection. I had to reduce throttle EPA to 80% and go easy on the trigger. Top speed was still great, but acceleration wasn't. For the next run, I will try to adjust the ESC setup to prevent high current peaks. Let's see...

Therapy journey continues by starting on an #RCcar build!

I already have the Lunchbox and Ford Mk2 Escort rally car. Now it's time for a 'traditional' buggy.

Chose the Top Force Evo. Not the cheapest, but supposed to be good. Looking forward to it :)

Inside the catbot, the electronics are very simple. This receiver board also serves as the power distribution board and basically the only electronics.

The 9v battery powers the board, which then sends power to the 2 lifter motors and the 2 drive motors based on the signal received from the cheapo radio transmitter. That's it.
