Rachael Ludwick<p>The state's department of highways –&nbsp;I'm sorry "department of transportation" –&nbsp;continuing to assert that RRFBs (rectangular rapid flashing beacons) are acceptable ways to make people walking feel safe crossing is just depressing. There is only one RRFB in Seattle that I use with any regularity where people driving stop consistently. There's one along a "greenway" that I've nearly been or seen people be hit that is also one block from a all way stop.
