I continue to believe that Big Tech goes too far when it comes to data collection. IMHO there is not enough reason for users to be profiled. Without user profiling, we can get rid of special ads and content for you my friend.

I am not against ads. IMHO they should just be context sensitive and not based on user profiling.

Ban SpyingBan spying on the InternetPersonal data collection and surveillance-based advertising undermine democracy. Tracking and building profiles has to stop. It’s time to ban spying on the Internet.

Brave Browser is getting a new feature called 'custom scriptlets' that lets advanced users inject their own JavaScript into websites, allowing deep customization and control over their browsing experience.

Can I set up a separate container for a different activity in the ARC browser? I mean, for example, having a space where work-related pages are logged in, and another space for personal stuff and private logins. Firefox solved this with containers in the past. Does anyone have any tips? I think ARC could do this.

If you are looking to move away from your Big Tech browser, maybe it is time to give Vivaldi a try?

A few things worth mentioning:

1. Workspaces and tab stacks.
2. Tab tiles.
3. Vivaldi Social, Mastodon server.
4. Encrypted sync.
5. Built in tracker and ad blocker.
6. No crypto built in.
7. No AI built in.

Vivaldi is made in Norway and Iceland and our servers are hosted in Iceland.

The video from my #FOSDEM talk "Mobile Browsers: the Best of Times, the Worst of Times" is now up online.

It was a real privilege to present in the FOSS on Mobile devroom 📱 Thanks to the organisers, everyone who attended and also to everyone who was so gracious about it afterwards.

I can get quite anxious in the weeks running up to a talk, but speaking at FOSDEM always feels worth it.

Why #Microsoft? Just, why? I'm trying to login to #OneDrive via #Firefox browser. I type in my credentials, open the #Outlook app on my phone to verify the login & then I get the "Unusual behavior" message which means I must go back to the Outlook app on my phone & press the "It was me" link. But in order for me to do that, I must firstly verify the #login within the app I'm already logged, probably because the process continues in #browser within the app. What The Actual Fuck? Just let me in!
