„Even failed projects count towards your 10,000 hours.“ — Andrej Karpathy

I really like how Karpathy puts it. We often feel the pressure to pick the perfect project. But in the end, what matters is showing up, practicing, and counting the hours. That’s how progress happens — almost naturally.

Stop consuming. Start building. That’s how you really learn AI.

I'm seeking advice from anyone who has recently crafted a #resume. I have a potential #JobOffer and need to create one. If you've done this recently, how did you approach it? I've explored several #ResumeBuilders but am unsure which ones are #accessible and suitable for me. I wanted to generate a resume from my #LinkedIn profile, but it seems that feature is no longer available. Additionally, I've attempted college three times but had to withdraw each time due to #ChronicIllness. My primary experience includes contract usability testing and earning certificates through #freeCodeCamp and #Codecademy. How would you recommend addressing this on a resume? I'm considering a #FunctionalResume template in #MicrosoftWord, but it's quite daunting.

Question: Are personal websites actually helpful when looking for a new job?

I know they are helpful for designers and/or programmers to show off their portfolios. But despite a background in data, I'm a generalist (product manager at the moment). So the only thing a website would have is my bio, contact info, and MAYBE a blog or two if I can organize myself enough.

Continued thread

For photojournalists, what are your tricks, methods, and tools for finding a story when covering an event? Or, thoughts on how to get over the fear of talking to folks?

It’s odd because I’m a people person. I don’t mind public speaking. I enjoy social events. But the moment I’m there in an official capacity I get so nervous that people won’t want to talk to me or I’ll be a bother. Probably because I’m a recovering people pleaser…
