First, this phenomenon (microseismic blip every 26 seconds originating off the coast of West Africa) is super interesting. Second, the article is nicely written.

Third, which scientists, exactly, were "stunned?" Was it the one who discovered this in the 1960s? The ones who knew about it and published in the 1980s? The ones who published about it again in 2006? So many stunned scientists.

Remembering that reporters almost never write headlines. This reporter needs a different editor.

Siedzę sobie w 2025 roku i właśnie wyłączyłem filmik Chroboka na YouTube zatytułowany “AI-sceptycy vs reszta świata”. Klasyczny zestaw “śmiesznych halucynacji AI” i wpadek związanych ze sztuczną inteligencją, które mają udowodnić, że “do niczego to całe AI się nie nadaje”. Filmik jakich setki mający zgarnąć ruch. Większość historii, które przytacza, to materiał z 2023 roku, choć wrzucił też kilka nowszych. I tak się zastanawiam, czy naprawdę wciąż musimy się śmiać z tych samych rzeczy, czy jesteśmy skazani na content robiony pod klikalność?

Wygląda to jak pokaźny zestaw na konferencję dla informatyków, gdzie przerywnikiem rozbawia się publiczność, żeby nie przysnęła.
