I was invited to Kolu village on last #weekend to carry out a #leathercraft #course . Met very #nice #crafty #people and had a #wonderful #sunny #day . We worked on #card #wallet s - #handcarved and #handstitched of course!

Another model underway... To be fair, it's been underway for a while , but it seems I haven't shared any #WorkInProgress shots yet, apologies!

This is a print from AliExpress, so no idea of the actual model name, but it's from #ZBBoy and I think I'll call it #JetBikeDemon* (*demon not included in these shots)

View from the right side of the model, which is the front of the bike (as it is positioned going left to right across the frame).

There are four radiator grills visible on the front, two large ones either side of the mainline, and two smaller ones on the outside of the body. The mainline ones are painted glowing red, the outer ones glowing cancerous green. The glow effects are my first attempt, so not very good.

The shape of the front is a very Art Deco futuristic shape.

Underneath the bike is a swirling dust cloud acting as a stand for the bike at an angle.

A view from about 1 o'clock horizontal of the jet bike (about 10 o'clock from the front of the model).

The body frame of the bike is a metallic red. This angle shows the bike has some wooden ski skids underneath, and a brown leather seat.

Some hints of a large jet engine are visible under the seat.

Pattern is called Hjärtslag and you can find it at Favoritgarner if you speak Swedish.
Yarn is FIKA (from the same store) and used hook no 2,5 mm (Clover Amour)
The edge I took from an another pattern called Grandmother’s Doily (found at the same store as this one)

Been doing some skin tone painting with the airbrush, and realised I had forgotten what mix I usually use, so thought I should probably document it for future reference

I was a bit worried earlier on that I'd gone too pale. But painting her hair has really made it feel like it's starting to come together.

Photograph of the model. She's now got very dark brunette hair. The skin tones are very pale still, but no longer feeling "washed out".

The fabric covering her torso now looks a different colour too, almost translucent white maybe.

She's definitely looking like she's just stepping out of the water.

Some in progress shots as I lay down some flesh tones.

Started with a base of Game Air "Flesh" (72.769), then added highlights of Game Color "Pale Flesh" (72.003), then Game Air "Pale Flesh" (72.703), and then mixed some Army Painter Air "Yeti White" into it for final highlights and the base for the fabric.
