Local press accuses city officials of secrecy. Officials sue, to silence local press, not feeling ironic at all. Judge sides with the fascists! Orders paper to remove editorial! Paper will appeal. Wowza.

@CultureDesk This paper is super inspiring! What's shimmering in here is how much #pedagogy the art of transmitting the #understanding is fundamentally anchored in the science itself: The attained beauty would be as much aesthetics as it is a transmission power.

This supports: #Science needs to be reinvented (by #questioning, #critics-izing, and #reformulation made more beautiful) by every single scientist. Only then can it progress and can the quest for #beauty continue motivating.

To the game critics it would be the same for the cook who just baked a cake and the critic tasted it and said "good, but could be better", cook says "it's better than the one you made" and the critic says "Wait, I didn't make one", and cook says "that's my point".
If you have only eaten the cake it and haven't made one, walk softly, for these things aren't developed for free.

The videos posted to Facebook all have the same look and feel: The subject looks directly at the camera, joins his hands in a sampeah – a #Cambodian gesture of respect – and apologizes.

Examples from last month – Cambodian #journalist Mech Dara and overseas #activist Hay Vanna – were just the latest additions to a long list of activists and #critics forced by #threats or legal action to recant and pledge their loyalty to the ruling #CambodianPeoplesParty (CPP).

Those are some of the most high-profile instances. Several other opposition activists told #RadioFreeAsia that they were forced to pledge allegiance to the ruling party to maintain the safety of their family or to avoid politically motivated criminal charges.
