After almost 5 years with #Fedora (first with Workstation, later with Silverblue, and I love it), I'm actually thinking about migrating to #GNOME OS, but I still have some doubts.

If anyone uses it as their main OS, please write in the comments or in DM.

I use it in VM to test new features, but I haven't had a full chance to explore it, because in a VM I'm limited to certain things.

Discovering the #fediverse gives me the same feelings #linux did years ago. The endless choice, excitement of discovery, clash of philosophies and a community.

I spent years #distrohopping from #ubuntu , #arch , #voidlinux , #nixos etc and then back to arch. Also spent a long time switching desktop environments and window managers like i3.

I started on #lemmy and #mastodon . What do I try next? #selfhost an #activitypub server? Which one?

Discovered Ventoy (ventoy.net/en/index.html) last week. It's a really cool project that makes it super simple to have multiple Live OS ISOs on a USB stick and boot to whichever is needed. Saves me from flashing countless individual ISO images to my poor, overworked USB as I test drive them out.

www.ventoy.netVentoyVentoy is an open source tool to create bootable USB drive for ISO files. With ventoy, you don't need to format the disk again and again, you just need to copy the iso file to the USB drive and boot it.

This seems like a good question to ask the Fediverse:

I just replaced my **really** old laptop for a slightly less old one and I'd like to put a new #Linux distro on it.

Preferably something lightweight that might allow me to play Magic: The Gathering Arena without too much effort on my part.
