It's a sad world we live in when beautiful, talented individuals perform, breaks boundaries, and makes herstory, and yet ALL people can see is the fact that she's a drag queen, and apparently, that makes her a figure to be hated.

I pity all of you who dislike drag. I pity how shallow-minded and hateful you are. You're all a disappointing addition to the human race if you can't appreciate the total utter fabulousness of drag!

Made some morning finishing touches to my late night portrait of Barry Humphries, aka Dame Edna inspired by Portrait Artist of The Year.
Really pleased with how it turned out. A great likeness and a great painting.

Today in Labor History April 22 April 22, 1946: Writer and director, John Waters, was born. Among his many classic films are his early low budget trash films, staring Divine, like Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, and Polyester (filmed in “odoroma” with scratch and sniff cards). His later, higher budget films include Pecker, Dirty Shame, Cecil B. Demented, and Hairspray. In the Cockettes documentary, he said the famous drag performers were an early influence on his films.

ich hab meine kaputten fahrradschläuche begutachtet und bin zu dem schluss gekommen das die ein hervorragendes #csd-outfit werden möchten..

ich brauche also alte fahrradschläuche, #leipzig

also falls wer was rumzuhängen hat - brauch da ne ganze menge für s "feder"kleid. zumindest für die schwarzen teile.
grünen latex und diversen anderen kram werde ich noch organisieren müssen... aber immerhin hab ich nen plan ;)

ein auf die kacke hauendes latex-federkleid mit viel grün und kontrastreichem tüll und einen kopfschmuck den ich mir noch überlegen muss.

aber erstmal brauch ich fahrradschläuche!

Two years ago, a TikTok buddy mentioned the existence of queer tango. I didn’t realize I could explore partner dancing—especially such an intimate partner dance—in a safe space. He is the reason I dance tango now.

We finally met in person for the first time this weekend! We’re even sharing a hotel room, and we’ve danced together a few times now. So cool! We went to drag brunch at The Palace today too.
