Short noodle jam session with Hope the Player 2 Fender Jaguar. A couple chords on the higher and lower end of the register, switching the pick up options, turning the tone knob to a few positions so you all can hear some colors. Plenty more to explore. I just had my phone on the desk, by the iMac speakers. I ran this through logic with some compression and limiter to get it loud enough, orange cab sim, tiny reverb. 😎💜 #guitar #fender #jaguar #FenderJaguar #electric #jam #tone #gear #GearSquad

Arrgh.
I went around the guy's shop, he was there and got the amp, plugged it in and let me try it. "Vibrato" wasn't working for me, but the reverb was sweet and drippy.
Then he said he didn't want to sell it. He'd even taken down the ad.
(I so want this to not be about me, and my crap playing and self-deprecating demeanor.)
He said he'll think about it and let me know if he will sell it.

Fender Super Reberb 4x10 combo amp belonging to a local rock hero, in his shop, no longer for sale now that he's let me try it out. Probably not because of my timidity. It's about 30 inches square, ten inches deep, with silver grille cloth and a black panel with about 14 knobs and a red jewel light. It's on the wood floor of a restaurant at 2:30 PM next to a chess table and a couple of round brushed-steel dining tables. The sun is shining behind it and it casts a shadow toward the camera like a monolith.

I've been thinking about getting an FRFR Speaker Cab for a good long while. (FRFR = Full Range Flat Response, so perfect for guitar modeling amps and e-drums, etc.)
My main contenders so far were the Line6 Powercab and the Fender Tone Master FR-12, but alas they're both US companies, so out of the question at this point in time. Now I'm buying a Laney LFR instead.

A question for #GearSquad: I have a late 70’s #Fender Twin Reverb combo amp I’m considering selling. Its power amp tubes have had it. Two have gone already, and I don’t think the other two will last long (though it’s demo-able).

If you were buying this amp, would you prefer I replaced the tubes first, or would you rather just do it yourself so you can put the ones you prefer in?

Bought an extremely weird Fender. Late 90s or early 2000s Made in Korea Fender Showmaster. One of the few high end guitars fender made in Korea after they moved all the Squier manufacturing to Mexico. Stock SD's, locking tuners and a carved quilted maple top. Also it's a set neck. #Fender #Guitar
