LanceFocusWriter kept crashing on my Linux Mint laptop, so last night I reinstalled using the Flatpak version. After testing it for a while, I'm confident the crashes are gone!If you need a distraction-free word processor that lets you customize background and font colors, I don't know of anything better for Windows or Linux. I chose amber text on a black background - just like my beloved first monitor. :)It puts me in the mood to string words together. <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/FocusWriter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#FocusWriter</a>

I just don't go around recommending it because I know most people wouldn't be interested in learning it. No better outliner exists though.BTW not in the OP's list but I also really like and *do* recommend <a href="https://sunny.garden/tags/Focuswriter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Focuswriter</a> for a very nice writing environment. It's just for writing without distractions; it doesn't have the organizing capabilities of org-mode or Scrivener, other than the ability to jump to different scenes from a scene index slideout sidebar.

LanceI've found the minimalist word processor I've been looking for. It can be configured in various themes: I'm using a solid black background with amber text. It's very much like writing on my old monochrome display back in college!It can be configured to run in a window or (by default) full-screen, runs on Windows and Linux, and can save docs in the LIbreOffice document format as well as text.
