Will I finally finish this song I started in 2018? I've remade and abandoned it several times, but I like the melody and percussion enough to revisit. Some might say "just abandon it and do something else", but I'm just too stubborn :blobfoxlaughsweat:

This week I got a new flash of inspiration and added some FM "strings". Also changed my workflow from making the whole song inside the Digitone to recording some patterns and then assemble them in Ardour.

treachery 2.0

Sometime around ~1991 i made this song:

I got a wild hair up my ass and am re-recording it now. It’s something i half-heartedly started working on many years ago, but didn’t really feel that version was quite up to snuff. Here’s what the new version is starting to sound like:

I’ve still got some work to do (adding guitars and sound effects, for example), but i like where it’s going so far.

Edit 25 February 2025: added a guitar part & did some stuff. Still working on it!

Oh i also made this cool splash screen image for Reaper too.

Nice!

For some reason searching for the Bandwagon URL doesn't give me any results, but rearranging to a user name, such as @icaria36@bandwagon.fm does (I know you can follow from the Bandcamp website, but I'm so used to search for the URL that it threw me a little when nothing came up).

Sorry for throwing another UX bug(?) report at you here @benpate instead of opening a GitHub issue. 😇

I tend to tag my music as #MyMusic and sometimes #FediMusic, but there's also #MastoMusic and prob. more.

A song I produced last year has been released as part of an 11th anniversary compilation by Naviar Records. It makes me so happy to see one of my songs featured alongside those of other artists in this community. Please consider giving it a listen and supporting Naviar Records and the other artists featured on the compilation.

Well, we've come to the last day of #jamuary , and it's always a bittersweet day. It's a bit of a relief to take a break, but the experience of maxing out creative output is always exhilarating, so I'm always a bit sad to feel that taper off.

For the final track* I decided to try to make a track with as many reversed sounds as good taste would allow, and here's the result:

For today's #jamuary track, I realized that I haven’t done any sort of techno this year! I decided to address that with a very laid back track. I always have Jeremy Blake’s “Cast in Amber” in mind when I set out to make a track like this. It’s the album that got me interested enough in making electronic music to go out and actually buy a synth:

For whatever reason, my #jamuary track from a few days ago, "This Ol' House" just didn't properly scratch the house itch.

So. When I came across this drum loop, I knew immediately that I was going to do another house track. I had a bit more gas in the tank for this one, so there are a lot more bells and whistles, and I just generally feel more satisfied with it. Enjoy!
