Good morning everyone I'm just up from a long lie as Grant got up for the parrots this morning. I'm sitting with them now and he is still snoozing on the couch quite happily, although he's going to get a real shock when Toby inevitably starts screeching at me Lots of coffee and just being lazy for an hour or so on the cards, because I have to gear up for a Three Parrot Vet Event in a couple of hours To be fair it's the usual two Hahns Macaws who give me the most grief trying to get them into their travel cages. Toby is easy enough to pick up and put in his special travel crate that he came over on the plane from South Africa in. Strap the crate into the front seat and we're good to go, with me and the girls in their cages in the back. It's quite an event though, so that's what I'll be doing today

Good morning everyone I'm up with the parrots again. Munching is well underway and I'm not surprised how hungry Toby is with the amount of feathers on the floor of his cage again today. That boy doesn't do moulting by halves that's for sure! The girls delicately drop a feather here and there, but he goes all out with the burst pillow effect

I got up at 2:30 am this morning, because I was convinced it was later I went back to bed and dozed for a bit when I realised my mistake, but had a strange dream about some political leader being assassinated. I don't know who it was though. My Dad dreamt about Kennedy's assassination a week before it happened. He told all his mates at work about the dream he had had as it disturbed him so much and they could corroborate his story. He still talks about it to this day.

Last work day this week. Woo hoo!

Good morning you lovely lot I'm up early with the parrots today and they are all enjoying breakfast as we speak, including Toby with his usual gusto, so it really looks like chomping down on a packet of baby wipes the other night hasn't done him any harm, thank goodness They are all moulting at present, so the living room is filled with wee feathers floating all over the place. Jadie is having her strange face moult again and she's lost a couple of long tail feathers in quick succession. It's obviously hard to tell with Ziggy, her being naked and all, but she has a lot of pin feathers on her head. Toby's cage floor in the mornings looks like someone burst a pillow

Work today. Mostly me fighting with MS Project to try and get it to actually be useful and do what I want instead of it deciding it knows better

In an effort to doodle a bit more for myself, I started randomising a bird (almost) daily, forcing myself to doodle the first result that comes up. All 9 birds doodle I’ve drawn so far in one image! They all took me around 2h to complete, and it’s been a lot of fun!

Good morning everyone I managed to sleep a bit later today as Grant got up for the parrots. Had a bit of a restless night though as I was worried about Toby. Grant accidentally left a packet of wipes on the shelf near his cage yesterday and when we came in to get them cleaned and out for the night it was in his cage with chewed wipes everywhere! Now most parrots you wouldn't worry too much as they would just chew the stuff, but Toby is a feathered goat. I made him regurgitate for me (such fun!) and there were only little bits of wipe in it, so I don't think he ate much, but I was concerned to put him to bed last night anyway. He seems fine though and this morning I heard him yelling "Wow!" at Grant a few times so hopefully no harm done. We have a vet visit for them all Thursday anyway so will get him checked out thoroughly.

Work today. Usual meetings and such.

Made a good start on the net to keep Toby out from behind the telly. I reckon about a week or so of crochet should have it big enough to attach to the wall and drape down over the top, then I will extend the sides with extra netting. That's the plan anyway. We'll see how well it works out. Until it's ready, the nightly battle with Toby with continue

Good morning Fellow Travellers around the Sun I have just awoken from a lovely, lazy Sunday lie in, thanks to Grant who got up for the parrots. I'm attempting to sit with them, but Toby is screeching at me and my ears are already bleeding, so I may need to move if I can't outlast him I have no idea why he screeches at me. He doesn't do it with Grant, who gets kisses blown at him instead, and yet he will bite Grant without hesitation, while he happily lets me pick him up. He really is a strange bird, completely different to the Hahns Macaws.

I'm waiting on some safety eyes arriving before I can finish up the competition toy, and I don't have any orders yet since I only put my listing back up yesterday, so I'm going to work on the net to keep Toby away from behind the telly today. I really need that in place as the battle continues every evening

Good morning everyone I was supposed to have a long lie today, but Grant left early to go birding and Ziggy has been frantically contact calling since then, so I had get up to sit with her. For all her bravado and cheekiness, she's also an anxious wee bird, as evidenced by her plucking. She's totally calm now that I've come down to sit with them, tucked into her preening arch and grumbling

I'm going to need a lot of coffee this morning though as I stayed up a bit later than normal last night playing DAO and looking at mods for it. I was going to write a thread to post here about my mods, but there are a good few, so I reckon I'll put the post on my website and just link to it here instead to avoid a long thread.

Crochet again today and we're having a smart meter installed. Not by choice, but apparently our meters are now too old by law.

Good morning Fellow Travellers on the Galactic Spiral Arm I'm back up early with the parrots again this morning and have had a successful Ziggy cuddle and medication delivery. Grant said he was having no issues with her taking it with the new baby food so I tried her again and sure enough, she lapped it up this time. I do have some Fruit Feast in reserve now though in case. It's a fruity mash with vitamins and probiotics which you can also make up with water. Yesterday evening was another round of jumping up and down trying to stop Toby from going behind the telly - he's so determined! Here's a video of the culprit looking as innocent as you please and preening, with added Jadie asking Grant "What you up to?" in the background

Fresh chop to make and then competition toy crochet thereafter. I'm hoping to finish it up this week all going to plan.

Good morning everyone I'm up with the parrots again today and have had another session of Madame Ziggy refusing to take her medication, this time with the mash. I'm definitely going to have to come up with another plan in the morning as this is now becoming constant as she is so determined to get into her cage and food bowl that food on a spoon doesn't cut it for her. Back to the drawing board and putting my thinking cap on Meanwhile, the other two are completely nonplussed by all the arguing going on with me telling Ziggy she needs to take her meds and her shouting back at me in her "angry" voice where she just shouts without words

Client was an absolute nightmare yesterday and I have to deal with them again today. Apparently, explaining in detail that the task they want done in 3 months is a 6 month task in reality does not cut it. The battle continues!

Good morning you lovely lot I'm playing Upstairs Ninja again this morning. All is quiet downstairs after some very energetic shouting by Ziggy earlier as she awaited her breakfast. Grant was going to try to give her the meds with baby food again today, so we'll see how that went. Since he doesn't let her out, and because she doesn't get given her food bowl until she takes the medication, he may have more luck than I was having. I might try not letting her see me putting her food bowl in the cage tomorrow and see how that goes. We were watching some telly last night and I thought Toby was on the floor when I heard some crunching noises. Went to look and discovered he had sneaked behind the telly and was chewing the lampshade! That boy, he's a menace

Work today. Difficult client to deal with again later so will need to prep for that meeting with calming thoughts

Good morning Fellow Travellers around the Sun I'm up with the parrots again today and they are all currently eating breakfast, although Toby seems to be objecting to something in his bowl as there is much flinging of food going on at the moment We had success using the mash mix to give Ziggy her medicine today, so I think I may just alternate between that and baby food to keep her interested. From the noises she is really enjoying her food today

I didn't sleep well. For some reason my brain decided to obsess over an old FreeNAS media PC that I set up years ago and which has been sitting in the junk room for ages. I have some photos and videos on the ZFS drives and I need to fire it up to get them off again, but why my brain decided last night was the time to worry about it I do not know
