There may be some justifiable exceptions, but overall it’s just a good practice to avoid something that doesn’t work as expected.

for each file seems to fix the issue, though now I’m getting a link error on Swift. Anyway, on to the next error, I guess.
OK, I'm trying to build some mixed C++, ObjC and Swift code with CMake (CLion).
Since the Xcode generator doesn’t seem to work with Swift anymore, I switched over to Ninja, and now all ObjC files are built without ARC.
How do I tell CMake with Ninja to build ObjC(++) files with ARC, but not Swift files??
for everyone else, there is mise support for #swift. you may find it convenient, without need to install separate version manager for each tool. it works great.

#Swift SDK/Toolchain situation just got complicated. For reason, there are two official ways to install the toolchain. Not compatible with each other:
Using swiftly
> swiftly install 5.0.3
Using swiftPM
> swift sdk install 5.0.3
be careful, one is not like the other. These tools do not share toolchains. Do not use each toolchain. And are for completly different reasons.
