The past now feels like a raw wound, a landscape scarred with the sharp edges of what could have been. But the dawn has finally broken, casting a harsh light on the truth. The lesson, etched in the deepest part of me, is this: never again will I dim my own vibrant light for someone who prefers the cold, artificial glow of a screen to the warmth of my touch. Never again will I offer my heart to someone who cannot be fully present, unequivocally honest, and wholly mine.
