If you are upset that someone uses a term to describe your identity or ideology because it is the predominant one within a society, you should think about why it makes you feel uncomfortable. People are going to create terms to describe identities or ideologies so that we can talk about and understand them. Being upset because a trans person called you cis or a vegan/vegetarian called you a carnist or any number of other words that describe the predominant identity or ideology within a society is just ridiculous and says more about your views than any one else's.
People are going to create words to talk about identities or ideologies so being upset that yours is being described is nonsensical. If you are so sure about your ideology or identity, why take issue with other people describing it?

Mmmm I am enjoying my move towards a more vegetarian diet. Lunch today was sweet potato fries (not crunchy because of sore teeth) that I made the other day in the air fryer, reheated, with a small amount of nutritional yeast flakes sprinkled over the top. 12 months ago, I wouldn’t have tried either of those foods.
While I have FODMAPS issues that mean some vegetarian foods don’t work for me (seitan is out, and so is tempeh, and I’m not keen on the “pretendy meat” things as a rule) I’m finding there are a lot of new things I want to explore.

Do you have any favourite recipes to recommend? I’m enjoying finding new things to make with both firm and silken tofu, but I know I’m only just at the start! #Vegetarian #VegetarianFood #Vegetarianism

Thinking of going on a #vegan / #Vegetarian #diet, but not sure how to suddenly stop eating meat? Try cutting out a few things, and working your way up!

#Pork is the least healthy, highest #pollution food you can eat, hands down, and #pigs are the most intelligent animal humans regularly eat. If you cut it out of your diet, you are halfway to being vegetarian in terms of health, pollution, and #ethics concerns.

#Lamb, the other most-polluting food, is easy to quit, because it's semi-rare and #gyro places usually offer #chicken and #felafel alternatives.

#Beef is next on the list, somewhere between pork and chicken.

This puts you down to #chicken and #fish, relatively low-impact high-nutrition foods.

You don't even have to fully commit: just cutting back is good!

This is called being #MeatConscious, and it can have almost as strong an effect on #ClimateChange and #Health as #Vegetarianism / #Veganism, especially since it's far easier to just eat less meat than stop entirely.
