I love how this particular camera mode makes even the large things look deceptively small. The fork of this trunk is actually about shoulder height for me.

Illuminating the shadow realm

Das Bild zeigt einen steilen Hang in einem dichten Wald, der eine markante Diagonale von links unten nach rechts oben bildet. Die hohen Bäume lassen nur spärliches, fast punktuelles Licht durch das dichte Blätterdach, das kleine Bereiche des Waldbodens beleuchtet. Double #thicktrunktuesday here! First pic is the thickest trunk in my collection, a hazelnut tree (if I remember rightly, could be wrong) that resides in the #edinburgh #botanicgarden and the second is a somewhat lopsided tree of unknown (to me) species that's situated on the bank of the River Forth.
